SHIMLA: A delegation of police personnel, led by DGP Sanjay Kundu, extended their appreciation to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla today for the substantial fivefold increase in their diet allowance.
The Chief Minister, in his budget speech, announced the elevation of the diet allowance to Rs. 1,000, a move hailed as historic by all members of the delegation.
They emphasized that no preceding government had undertaken such a noteworthy initiative.
MLA Sanjay Rattan was also in attendance during the meeting.
