Modi's cabinet ministers and PM appears at Parliament gate

BJP  national President JP Nadda under whose party leadership BJP-led NDA staged a comeback at the Center for the third term,    Joins Modi's jumbo-sized Cabinet: A Fresh Wave of Talent and Experience...Nation's eyes are set on New Team along with  bigwigs like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Niti Gadkari and Jai Shankar taking  oath...

New Delhi/Shimla – In a vibrant ceremony today at Rashtrapati Bhavan, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda was among 72 MPs   sworn in as Union Ministers, marking their entry into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expansive NDA 3.0 cabinet.

President Droupadi Murmu presided over the ceremony, where a blend of experienced leaders and new faces pledged their commitment to national service.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated and extended best wishes to all colleagues taking the oath as ministers in the NDA government.

He emphasized that this team of ministers represents a remarkable blend of youthful energy and seasoned experience, committed to improving the lives of all citizens without leaving any stone unturned.

When we look at Modi's Cabinet Overhaul: BJP Dominates, Allies Take a Back Seat.

PM unveiled his expanded NDA 3.0 cabinet, revealing a strong BJP dominance.

BJP secured the lion’s share of ministerial positions, leaving its allies with a mere supporting role. But then BJP has 240 MPs to justify that share in portfolios.

The numbers tell the story: out of the 72 ministers in the new cabinet, a whopping 61 are from the BJP.

In Modi's Cabinet there are 27 OBC ministers 10 SC ministers, 5 ST ministers, 5 minority ministers and the  rest are  from the general category.

There is  no Muslim minister to name.

This distribution underlines the party’s overwhelming influence in Modi's latest government configuration, with key portfolios firmly in BJP hands.

Ministries such as Home, Finance, External Affairs, Defence, Education, and Culture will continue to be helmed by BJP leaders, solidifying their control over crucial areas of governance.

The reshuffle includes 30 ministers of Cabinet rank, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and 5 MoS with Independent Charge. The BJP’s grip on the cabinet is evident from the appointment of senior figures like Jagat Prakash Nadda, who transitioned from BJP National President to a Union Minister role, further entrenching the party’s control over government functions.

The allies, on the other hand, are sparsely represented, with only 11 ministers from various coalition partners:

- **TDP (Telugu Desam Party)**: 2 ministers.
- **JDU (Janata Dal-United)**: 2 ministers.
- **LJP (Lok Janshakti Party)**: 1 minister.
- **JDS (Janata Dal-Secular)**: 1 minister.
- **SS (Shiv Sena)**: 1 minister.
- **RPI (Republican Party of India)**: 1 minister.
- **RLD (Rashtriya Lok Dal)**: 1 minister.
- **AD(S) (Apna Dal-Sonelal)**: 1 minister.
- **HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha)**: 1 minister.

This marginal allocation reflects the BJP's strategic consolidation of power, ensuring that key ministries remain under its direct control while allies are relegated to less influential roles. Despite this, notable figures from allied parties, such as  Ram Nath Thakur from JDU, have been included, albeit with limited portfolios compared to their BJP counterparts.

This new team  paints a clear picture of the BJP's intention to maintain tight reins on government affairs, with a nod to its allies to keep the coalition intact. The distribution of ministerial positions emphasizes BJP's dominance, leaving little room for its partners to influence major policy areas.

This reshuffle signals a decisive shift in Modi’s cabinet dynamics, with BJP securing a stronghold on key portfolios while giving just enough to its allies to keep them on board. As the new ministers take their oaths, the expectation is clear: BJP will steer the government’s course, leaving allies to support from the periphery.

Among the prominent leaders taking their oaths were Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari Jaishankar and  Nirmala Sitharaman, who reaffirmed her commitment to managing the nation's finances, and Piyush Goyal, known for his impactful work in commerce and railways.

As many as 19 cabinet  ministers of  the Modi government 2.0  lost the elections on June 4  that has clearly established the fact that the ministerial berth does not ensure MP a win.

Madhya Pradesh's Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana's Manohar Lal Khattar, both seasoned Chief Ministers, have joined the national leadership, bringing their vast governance experience to the cabinet.

Sarbananda Sonowal, the former Chief Minister of Assam, and Rajiv Ranjan Singh, a key political figure, were also inducted, ready to tackle their new responsibilities.

Dharmendra Pradhan, known for his achievements in education and skill development, took his oath with a focus on enhancing these crucial areas.

Other notable leaders who joined the cabinet as full-fledged ministers include Hardeep Singh Puri and C. R. Patil.

In addition, a dynamic group of new Ministers of State were sworn in, bringing fresh energy and perspectives to the team:

- **Ashwini Vaishnaw**, noted for his administrative expertise.
- **Gajendra Singh Shekhawat**, with a strong background in water resources.
- **Gangapuram Kishan Reddy**, known for his dedication to public service.

- **Jayant Choudhary**, known for his commitment to governance.
- **Annapurna Devi**, the second woman in the cabinet, reflecting the government's push for 30% representation of women.
- **Dr. Jitendra Singh**, assuming responsibilities as a Union Minister of State.
- **Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav**, joining the team as a Minister of State.
- **Jitin Prasada**, ready to contribute with his political acumen.

- **Bhagirath Choudhary**, assuming his role with dedication.
- **Suresh Gopi**, known for his contributions in various fields.
- **Satish Chandra Dubey**, ready to take on his new responsibilities.
- **Sanjay Seth**, adding his strength to the cabinet.
- **Ravneet Singh Bittu**, bringing his experience to the team.
- **Ajay Tamta**, committed to his new role in the government.
- **Raksha Nikhil Khadse**, joining her colleagues as a Minister of State.
- **Bandi Sanjay Kumar**, sworn in to serve in his new capacity.
- **Durga Das Uikey**, prepared to contribute to the cabinet.
- **Sukanta Majumdar**, adding his expertise to the team.
- **Murlidhar Mohol**, joining as a Minister of State.
- **Savitri Thakur**, bringing her perspective to the cabinet.
- **Tokhan Sahu**, taking his oath as a Union Minister of State.

This dynamic and diverse team reflects Prime Minister Modi's vision of harnessing a range of talents and perspectives to address the nation’s challenges and build on its achievements.

Among the well-wishers were Himachal figures such as Jairam Thakur, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, and Trilok Kapoor, who congratulated Nadda on his new role.

Nadda’s journey, from his election as an MLA in Himachal Pradesh in 1993 to his leadership roles in state government and as BJP National President since 2020, has now culminated in this significant national appointment.

PM has picked up his team on his own term which  is expected to drive forward Modi's agenda, ushering in a new era of national progress and development and fulfilling his guarantees to the people of India.
