Pending Recruitment Results Scam: Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri Assures Action After Cabinet Review
Dharamshala: Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who heads the Cabinet Sub-Committee on pending recruitment results, has assured action soon.
He stated that the government would study the Supreme Court's order thoroughly. The matter will be tabled in the next State Cabinet meeting.
Responding to media queries, Agnihotri emphasized the urgency of the issue. “We understand today’s youth are eagerly waiting for a resolution,” he said.
He added that the Supreme Court’s directive is clear. The government is committed to acting in line with its observations.
Agnihotri clarified that the paper was not outright canceled. However, certain discrepancies had been flagged. These require careful examination.
The Deputy CM highlighted the findings so far. He said vigilance reports had been reviewed, and the scale of the issue was significant.
“Around 2,500 candidates’ papers are under scrutiny. About 25,000 students had appeared for the exam overall,” he said. FIRs have been filed against several individuals.
This includes officers and others allegedly involved in irregularities.
Agnihotri assured transparency in the process. He said the committee is focused on addressing the matter fairly. “We will study all reports thoroughly,” he said. The Supreme Court’s observations on NEET and other recruitment policies are being analyzed.
A final decision will be taken in the next Cabinet meeting. This will happen within a month, he confirmed.
On the issue of stenographers' typing tests, Agnihotri admitted lapses. Scheduling and execution gaps had caused issues. He assured that rescheduling tests could be considered to ensure fairness.
The recruitment irregularities, especially in high-profile cases, have raised questions. Agnihotri said both administrative and legal frameworks are being reviewed. This is to ensure justice for all candidates.
The Vigilance Department’s reports and the committee’s recommendations will be presented to the Cabinet soon. The government aims to resolve the issue comprehensively, he said.
