Shimla: Smt. Geeta Kapur, Chairman & MD of SJVN today laid the foundation stone for the Office Building at the Dam site of the 210 MW Luhri Stage-1 Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh.
Amidst the backdrop of village Palahi in district Kullu, she also inaugurated Portable Cabins to serve as temporary offices until the completion of the main building.
Accompanied by Sh. Sunil Choudhary, Head of Project, and other senior officials, Kapur conducted an exhaustive review of ongoing construction activities.
From the Power House to Hydro-Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Works, every aspect was scrutinized to ensure adherence to project timelines.
The 210 MW Stage-1 Hydro Electric Project, sprawling across Shimla, Kullu, and Mandi districts, holds immense promise for the region's development. With an estimated cost of Rs 1810 crores, upon completion, it is poised to generate 758 million units of electricity annually.
Beyond its economic impact, the project signifies a leap forward in sustainable energy development, aligning with the nation's vision for a greener future.
