Al-Falah University Under Lens After NMC Drops Four Doctors Over UAPA FIR
Chandigarh/Faridabad: The National Medical Commission has struck off four Kashmiri doctors from the Indian Medical Register after an FIR under UAPA, pulling Al-Falah University, Faridabad, into fresh controversy.
Through orders issued on 14 November 2025, the NMC removed
Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad,
Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather,
Dr. Muzamil Shakeel, and
Dr. Shaheen Saeed
from the National Medical Register.
The action has reignited scrutiny on Al-Falah University — a private institution already facing multiple regulatory setbacks.
NAAC Flags ‘False’ Accreditation
NAAC has served a show-cause notice to the university for displaying an expired Grade-A accreditation as valid, warning of further action by UGC and NMC.
AIU Suspends Membership
The Association of Indian Universities has suspended Al-Falah’s membership with immediate effect, citing violation of “good standing” norms.
Security Angle Under Probe
Security agencies are also looking into the university’s foreign funding sources and the alleged involvement of some faculty members in activities flagged during ongoing terror-linked investigations.
Students Caught in the Crossfire
With regulatory pressure building, uncertainty looms over current MBBS batches, accreditation status, and the university’s academic credibility.
