Palampur, 18 Nov:
Art of Living (AOL) founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Tuesday batted for setting up an Osteopathy College in Himachal Pradesh, saying the state’s youth must have access to modern treatment systems along with traditional knowledge so they can build sustainable livelihoods.
He was speaking at Panjpiri Sheetla Mata Temple in Gujrehda near Palampur, where Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu offered prayers with him and lit a ceremonial lamp in the newly built temple complex.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said Himachal — known as Devbhoomi — has always been blessed with a deep spiritual consciousness, and added that “the deities are not far, they reside within us.”
He said the new Panjpiri Sheetla Mata Temple stands in direct alignment with the Aadi Himani Chamunda Temple, adding to the spiritual significance of the region.
The spiritual leader appreciated the Chief Minister for his “religious belief and actions,” saying that Sukhu had been blessed with the opportunity to serve the people of Devbhoomi.
