Union Minister Gadkari, HP CM Sukhu PWD Minister Singh, Ex-CM Thakur Inspect Flood Damage on Mandi-Kullu-Manali Section of Chandigarh-Kiratpur-Manali National Highway

Upon reaching Bhuntar, they got out of their car and inspected the damage caused by the flood on the Bajaura-Kiratpur-Manali four-lane highway.

They also took the time to speak with the affected individuals who shared their accounts of the damage inflicted on their homes along the highway.

During his visit, Gadkari toured several areas to assess the extent of the destruction caused by the recent floods. The areas included Parla Bhuntar, Kullu, Raisan, Dohlunala, Patlikuhal, 16 Meel, 17 Meel, Kalath, and Alu Ground Manali.

Following the field inspection, Gadkari presided over a meeting with officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at Baragarh Resort.

During the meeting, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Vikramaditya Singh, and Jai Ram Thakur presented detailed discussions on the damage caused by the floods and heavy rains in different parts of Himachal Pradesh.

The natural disaster has wreaked havoc on the state's infrastructure, particularly affecting critical highways like the Chandigarh-Kiratpur-Manali National Highway.

The government is actively working to assess the extent of the damage and formulate plans for reconstruction and rehabilitation to aid the affected communities

CM Sukhu has pinned hopes on Gadkari for providing all necessary support and resources to help Himachal Pradesh recover from the calamity and restore lifelines in the region.
