DC Shimla Aditya Negi said the machineries are on the job to restore traffic in the city and on the Shimla-Rohru, Shimla Narkanda, and Theog-Chopal Road, which were blocked due to snowfall taking place since last night.
He advised the people to be cautious while driving and walking due to slippery conditions on the roads and reassured the people that administration had adequate machinery and manpower to meet any eventuality.
Rampur-Rohru Road was blocked due to snowfall at Sungri due to snowfall.
Negi said all the SDOs and PWD staff have been sounded on resume snowclearing operation to restore traffic on the state and national highways in the district.
