Radhika Khera Slams Mamata Over Kolkata Rape-Murder Case
Shimla: BJP’s Radhika Khera here todayvat a press conference came down hard on West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of failing to protect women in the state.
Referring to the brutal rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata, Khera said, “West Bengal has become a nightmare for women under TMC rule. Mamata’s silence on this horrific crime is telling.”
She blasted the TMC for trying to cover up the incident, questioning why the police initially pushed a suicide narrative despite clear evidence of brutality.
“The arrest of one person isn’t enough. There’s more to this, but the government isn’t interested in the truth,” Khera said.
Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, Khera asked, “Why did it take Rahul five days to respond? Is he too scared to call out his ally?”
Khera ended with a call to action, urging people to demand justice and hold the INDI alliance accountable for its silence. “This fight is for the safety of women across the country, not just Bengal,” she said.
