Science Day atSunniCollege

Sunni: The Science Society of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Govt. College Sunni recently celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm.

The event saw the participation of two distinguished personalities, Professor Sudhir Kumar and Dr. Jitendraa Vashistt from the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at Jaypee University, Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, as the guests of honor.

In his address, Professor Sudhir Kumar enlightened the students about various postgraduate entrance tests and courses they can pursue after graduation, offering guidance on managing study loads effectively.

Dr. Jitendraa Vashistt paid homage to eminent Indian scientists and encouraged students to take them as role models for their scientific pursuits.

The Chief Guest of the event, Dr. R. L. Sharma, the college Principal, emphasized the significance of National Science Day.

Dr. Sharma expressed gratitude to the guests of honor for their valuable contributions in instilling a scientific temperament among the students.

He also commended the college's science faculty for organizing the celebration successfully.

During the event, which was attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff, digital science quizzes and working science model competitions were held. The team of B.Sc. 1st students, Aditya, Arti, and Snehal, from the "Homi J. Bhabha" group secured the first position in the quiz competition, while the team of B.Sc. 3rd students, Devyani, Vivek, and Manish, from the "Aryabhata" group, claimed the second position.

In the science model competition, the team of B.Sc. 2nd students, Kritika, and Rikshita, secured the first position, followed by the team of Jagriti and Kashish in the second position. 

Dr. R. L. Sharma concluded the event by congratulating all the winners and participants for their outstanding performances and reiterated the college's commitment to promoting scientific excellence among its students.
